Occasion of Children’s Day at Government Primary School in Jagatkhana
On November 14, IRG organization, supported by Glenmark Foundation, organized two important programs. The first program was held on the occasion of Children’s Day at Government Primary School in Jagatkhana and Dhana, where 120 children participated. During the program, children presented songs, dances, and poems, and they were also informed about the importance of personal and oral hygiene. Dentists Dr. Shashi and Dr. Aditi guided the children on proper dental care, while health worker Shweta Sharma shared simple tips for staying healthy. At the end of the program, pencil sets and colors were distributed to all the children. School in-charges Esha (Jagatkhana) and Gurdev Singh (Dhana) expressed their gratitude to Glenmark Foundation for this initiative.
The second program focused on diabetes awareness and was held in the villages of Dhang and Rajpura. In this session, 70 villagers participated, where Dr. Anjali Goel shared information about the symptoms, causes, and prevention of diabetes, emphasizing the importance of proper diet and lifestyle. On this occasion, Glenmark Plant, Rajpura’s Finance Head, Surinder Kapoor, and Production Department’s Harjot Singh, were also present. They discussed the importance of CSR activities and shared how Glenmark Foundation actively serves the local community. Ward Panch Narinder Kaur and Seema from Dhang Panchayat also expressed their gratitude to Glenmark Foundation for this event.
The aim of both programs was to spread health awareness among children and villagers. The local community appreciated this initiative by Glenmark Foundation and IRG organization and expressed hope for more such programs in the future.
