Dr. P.K Goswami, M.B.B.S
Director

Dr. Provat Kumar Goswami, is a Pediatrician by profession with special interest and experience in Maternal, New Born, Child and Adolescent Health- with job experience for more than four decades. He is trained in Paediatrics at (Institute of Child Health) now known as Institute of Global Health at LONDON, UK. He had undergone orientation training by CEDPA USA on Adolescent Health and Development, oriented by UNFPA, UNICEF, JOHNS HOPKINS Experts. His special interest lies in Primary Health Care at community level with special focus on Mother, New Born, Child and Adolescent Health focusing on Prevention and Promotion of health with participation of parents (mothers) and other community stakeholders.

He has work experience in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, East Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania as he has worked very closely with UNICEF, UNFPA on different projects (MNCH). He continues to defy seniority and have strong passion and motivation to continue working in MNCH+A in coming years and keen to learn, enhance professional growth as well. Few mentors, associates and teachers who have helped him immensely are Dr. David Navorro (Nominee for Director General WHO), Dr. David Morley. Mr. Pawan Varma
Director

Mr. Pawan Varma, is a management and law graduate from Delhi University with more than 2 decades of extensive experience in systems and processes of development sector within the health domain. Providing technical assistance, training and monitoring under various project interventions of the Institute for Global Development remains his key responsibilities as a CEO of the Institute. In past, he has worked with NCERT, Government of India on content development projects and on Information Systems of a Multinational (Whirlpool of India) before joining the development sector with MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child in 2001. 

He sits on the Advisory board of a 350 Bedded Super specialty-Multi specialty tertiary care institution and was instrumental in strategic turnaround of the institution in recent times.

Dr. Satish Bhalla Phd
Director (Technical & Partnerships)

Dr. Satish Bhalla is a distinguished Behaviour Science professional with a Ph.D. in Psychology and over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing public health and social development projects. As the Director of Technical & Partnerships at iRG, he leads the organization’s technical operations and strategic collaborations, driving initiatives that expand iRG’s national and regional footprint while enhancing programmatic impact.
Dr. Bhalla’s career reflects a strong commitment to resource mobilization, global partnerships, research, and evaluation studies. His notable contributions include the evaluation of the Bihar Education Project—India’s first “Education for All” initiative—and conducting Training Needs Assessments for the District Primary Education Programme (DPEP) supported by the World Bank.
His international development experience spans senior faculty positions at leading universities and research institutions in the United States, Austria, Ethiopia, and Uganda. He has also spearheaded collaborative projects with institutions such as the University of Melbourne (Australia) and the University of Uppsala (Sweden), focusing on Youth-Friendly Health Services and Sexuality Education within India’s school systems.
Dr. Bhalla is widely published in reputed international journals and has authored numerous technical reports, policy briefs, and blogs aimed at disseminating best practices in development. His work is characterized by a deep understanding of innovative approaches to development, with a focus on community-driven initiatives, sustainable growth, and institution building. With his vast expertise in program design, strategic partnerships, and team leadership, Dr. Bhalla plays a pivotal role at iRG, steering the organization’s efforts in health, education, and innovation. His vision and leadership are instrumental in fostering impactful collaborations and driving transformative change across iRG’s projects.
