Health Camp on World Cancer Day
Location: Baddi, Himachal Pradesh
On World Cancer Day, 04th Feb 2023, The Team organized various activities on the premises of FKOL’s Baddi Plant. At first, a walkathon was organized to nearby villages which was flagged off by the Plant Head, FKOL. The walkathon started from the plant premises via Kishanpura, Haraipur Village and then back to the company.
A week before the camp, mobilization activities such as door-to-door visits were done in villages of Kishanpura Panchayat. Ahead of World Cancer Day, The Team organized an awareness workshop on Cancer at Bhojia Nursing College, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Poster making and slogan writing competition was organized for the students. Dr. Anjali Goyal (M.B.B.S), made the students aware bout early symptoms of Cancer and its preventive measures.
A drama was performed by the students of Bhojiya Nursing College and Awasthi Nursing College through which awareness was generated among people about cancer and drugs.
On 4th Feb, in the premises of FKOL, a free health camp was being conducted by The Team. The camp was inaugurated by Kishanpura Panchayat Pradhan, Mr. Surjan Saini.
Four doctors- General Physician, Gynecologist, Pediatrician and a Dentist were present along with paramedics to assist and provide the beneficiaries with medicines. Around 260 beneficiaries were able to avail the services from the health camp, which even included the company employees.
