Multi Stakeholder Conference

Project Location: Solan District, Himachal

IRG along with Education Quality Foundation of India (EQFI) succeeded in organizing three multi-stakeholder conferences in- Lucknow, Gujarat and Karnataka- focused on improving teaching and learning of emerging technologies to build critical thinking and creativity among leaners in India with support from the SCERT and Department of Basic Education.

The core objective of these conference was to enhance teachers’ expertise in competency-based teaching and technology-focused curricula. By gathering insights and feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders, the conferences aims to forge a Pan-India coalition of ecosystem partners, including NGOs, industry experts, and state governments, dedicated to sustaining emerging technology interventions in education.

The conference had presentations from resource persons on the Resource Map site orientation and demonstration. The resource map is a comprehensive document curated to bring to all stakeholders varied resources to foster the 21st-century skills. The main focus is to develop Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Technology to both educators and students with variety of courses and lessons. Similarly, there was demonstration of IBM SkillsBuild Platform in which the entire website was demonstrated and it’s functioning. A basic demo of the platform was given through an activity in which everyone were taught how to sign up and take use of the resources in the platform. The platform was being designed for both teachers and students. AI based courses were demonstrated. 11000 courses were available for free of cost.

561 teachers from the three states were reached and were trained on the emerging technologies in these conferences.
